Terms of Service

§ 1 Scope

These Terms of Service apply between the provider of Seedtojar (hereinafter "Provider") and the user (hereinafter "User") of the web application Seedtojar and the associated mobile app (hereinafter collectively "Service").

The Service enables Users to plan their garden, record harvests, preserve food, and manage their pantry inventory.

§ 2 Registration and Account

Registration is required to use the Service. The User agrees to provide truthful information and to keep their login credentials confidential.

The User is responsible for all activities conducted under their account. In the event of suspected unauthorised use, the Provider must be notified immediately.

§ 3 User Obligations

The User agrees not to misuse the Service, in particular:

• Not to distribute unlawful content
• Not to perform automated access without permission
• Not to infringe upon the rights of third parties
• Not to introduce malicious software

§ 4 Scope of Services and Pricing

The Service is offered in the following tiers:

Price changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance.

§ 5 Right of Withdrawal

For paid subscriptions, the User has a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of contract conclusion. Withdrawal may be declared informally by email.

The right of withdrawal expires prematurely if the User expressly consents to the service commencing before the withdrawal period has expired.

§ 6 Availability

The Provider strives for high availability of the Service but does not guarantee it. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where possible.

§ 7 Contract Duration and Cancellation

The free Basic plan may be terminated at any time by deleting the account.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the selected period unless cancelled before the end of the current term. Cancellation may be made at any time via the account settings.

§ 8 Liability

The Provider is not liable for the accuracy of data entered by the User. In particular, the Provider assumes no liability for:

• Food safety in preservation (the Service does not replace professional advice)
• Crop yields or garden planning outcomes
• Data loss resulting from improper use

Food safety information provided within the Service is for informational purposes only and does not replace consultation of official sources (e.g. BfR, FDA).

§ 9 Data Export

The User may export their data at any time via the account settings (PDF, CSV). After cancellation, data remains available for export for 30 days.

§ 10 Data Protection

The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. Servers are located in Germany (Hetzner, Falkenstein).

§ 11 Amendments

The Provider reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service. Material changes will be announced by email at least 30 days before taking effect. In case of objection, the User may cancel their subscription.

§ 12 Governing Law

German law applies. Consumers may invoke the law of their country of residence if it provides a higher level of protection.

§ 13 Severability

Should any provision of these Terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
